MATTER MOVES, BUT YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ITS WEIGHT
A Matéria Move-Se, Mas Não Se Consegue Escapar Ao Seu Peso - Matter Moves, But You Can’t Escape Its Weight (2018) is an evening length commission for Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte, Porto, Portugal. The trio passes through systems of instability so as to trace an ecology of entanglements that is the body and its relations. At the threshold of equilibrium, the tipping point of boarders between bodies, ecstasy and evasiveness, trance and exhaustion, we sketch out a future way of "being with" the world.
